Resumo: Specific topics to be addressed include: the management of children and adolescents with chronic diseases, pain management, intellectual disability, autism, the impact of chronic disease and disability on human development, shared decision-making and strategies for ensuring the social and educational enfranchisement of children with chronic diseases or disabilities. Other topics to be discussed include adolescent gynecologic/endocrine disorders, violence, eating disorders, mental illness, and improved quality of care. The lectures and workshops of the Congress are geared to professionals from all disciplines involved in the care of children and adolescents with chronic diseases and disabilities as well as those involved in the field of human development and public health.
